The Most Physically Active Jobs In the U.S.Social Life 2016. 6. 8. 15:28반응형
If you’re looking for a job that will keep you moving and your body in shape, these are the 27 most physically jobs you can find in the U.S.
Using data from the Occupational Information Network (O*NET), a US Department of Labor database comprised of detailed information on occupations, Erin Brodwin and Andy Kiersz at Business Insider created a basic ranking system. Each job’s ratings are based on five different types of activity, including dynamic strength, explosive strength, trunk strength, overall stamina, and time spent on their feet walking or running. Here are the top five (scores are out of a possible 100):
Professional Dancer: Overall activeness score of 75.2, requiring a lot of time walking or running, stamina, and dynamic and trunk strength.
Fitness Trainers and Aerobics Instructors: Overall activeness score of 62, requiring a lot of stamina, dynamic strength, and trunk strength.
Structural Iron and Steel Workers: Overall activeness score of 60, requiring a lot of trunk strength, time spent walking or running, and dynamic strength.
Reinforcing Iron and Rebar Workers: Overall activeness score of 57.6, requiring a lot of time spent walking or running, trunk strength, and stamina.
Forest Firefighters: Overall activeness score of 55.6, requiring a lot of stamina, trunk strength, and time spent walking or running.
It’s probably not surprising to see fitness trainers, construction workers, and firefighters on this list, but dancers being number one is a bit of a surprise. That said, it makes sense when you consider the fact that their job is entirely based on physically activity. Trainers aren’t necessarily doing the workouts themselves, and construction crews aren’t always lifting materials. To see how the remaining 22 jobs rank, check out the link below.
