Turn an Old Sheet into a Beach Blanket That Won’t Blow AwayIdea 2016. 6. 9. 00:33반응형
When you go to the beach, you want a blanket that’s easy to clean off, can fit everyone, and won’t blow away in a little wind. With just a little work, you can turn an old sheet into a blanket that does all three.
You can even use this tip to modify your existing beach towels so they stay put on the sand. You’ll need:
·A towel, blanket, or sheet
·4 feet of sturdy cord or rope
·4 tent stakes to keep the blanket in place
·A needle and threadThis will go faster if you use a sewing machine, but you can also do the sewing part by hand. Cut the cord into one foot pieces and tie in a loop. Make sure the knots are secure so they don’t come apart at the beach. Place a loop in each corner of your sheet and fold the corner over so it surrounds the loop. Pin it down to keep in place while you sew. Sew the corner down, going back and forth a few times to reinforce it. Next time you head to the beach, put the stakes through the loops and your blanket will stay put even if nothing is weighing it down.
