Remains of the Day: Twitter for Android Gets a New Look and FeelTechnology 2016. 6. 8. 15:27반응형
Twitter for Android got a nice, new design today that makes navigating the site a little more pleasant. In other news, Swarm is adding perks to encourage check-ins (...like Foursquare!), and Google has a cool new animation app for iOS.
Twitter for Android has been given a makeover. The mobile app has been refreshed with a new design that makes navigating the different sections of Twitter easier. You can now swipe between your timeline and notification feeds and there’s a new navigation menu that slides out from the left, among other new features. Lots of sliding going on. [Twitter]
Twitter is also making it super easy to embed timelines on websites. Just visit their new ‘Publish’ site, enter your desired Twitter feed, and they’ll generate an embed code. [via The Next Web]
Swarm is now offering perks like coupon codes when you check into certain stores. Yes, just like Foursquare used to do before it was split into two different apps. There are also new “Challenges” in Swarm, in which users can enter themselves into sweepstakes by checking into certain types of places. [TNW via Foursquare]
Google just released a new iOS app called Motion Stills. It’s sort of a cross between iOS’s native Live Photos and Instagram’s Hyperlapse; it uses video stabilization algorithms to create short animations from your existing Live Photos that either stabilize the background of a shot or smooth camera pans, and it can even optimize the loop of the animation. It’s free in the App Store, so I know what I’ll be doing this weekend: stabilizing GIFs. [Google Research Blog]
Uber will now refund you $2 if your carpool is late. If your UberPool doesn’t arrive before its scheduled time, your next ride will be discounted by two bucks. So that’s nice. That also means you’ll use it again to get your two bucks. [Uber Newsroom]
