As you may know, Google’s Project Fi cellular service is actually an MVNO that piggybacks on existing networks to bring service to your cell. Now they’re working with US Cellular to bring you more coverage and speed.
US Cellular is the fifth largest mobile network in the country and is available in 23 states, so their addition to Project Fi’s coverage could be a substantial improvement for some users. Project Fi already works on the backbones of T-Mobile and Sprint and adding US Cellular as a third carrier should help fill some coverage gaps. [Android Blog via Droid Life]

Their tests are based on a Windows 10 laptop, so if you’re on a Mac, you should probably stick to Safari if battery life is your main priority. [TechCrunch]
